My name is Kristopher James Cleveland.

In 2018, I picked up a paintbrush, and I swirled my first swirl. My life path was established that day, unbeknownst to me.

In 2019, I met (my now-wife) Shanae, at a “Painting the Eye” workshop, at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in NY.

In 2020, I packed up all my things into a big ass van, and drove most of the way across the country, to live with Shanae in Colorado. Moving here was something I had talked about doing for years, and finally found the reason.

In 2021, we got married in front of about 60 people, and four months later, welcomed our very first child into existence.

At the end of 2022, I left my job at UPS so I could focus on our family and our dreams.

In 2023, I published my first website, started Krispy Dreemz LLC, and welcomed our 2nd child into this world.

And now, in 2024, we are moving faster than ever into the future, buckling up for the wild ride ahead. And to think, all of this, for swirling a swirl.

I’ve done a lot of personal exploration through the medium of paint and canvas. In the beginning, I thought I was just making something that looked cool. But what I didn’t realize, is that I had entered into this process of feeling, and being honest with myself. Do that enough, and eventually it starts showing up in other areas of life.

I’m extremely grateful to be where I am today. And we’ve only just begun.

When I first began, there was a bunch of abstract experimentation at play, and through time, I noticed a trend. My paintings started splitting into these two distinct styles. There’s the flowy-swirly stuff, and there’s the geometric, golden ratio creations.

The more I paint, the more I curate each of these sub-styles, eventually hoping to blend the two into one. Beautifully, and seamlessly.

For now, I’m really in love with where I’m at. In life, in love, and in paint. So I suppose I’ll keep doing what I’m doing.
